"I only use newspapers to produce collage works, and many of them cut out and replaced their heads and faces. When I was a child, I remember having a microscope on my birthday. The first thing I saw through the lens was a small piece of a torn newspaper. I was very surprised. It was not a single and homogeneous sheet material, but in fact a lump of thin fibers like threads, and extremely fine pulp cluttered. From that time on, I have been particularly attracted to the brittleness of this material (now almost obsolete) and inherently ephemeral nature."
